Yeezy Season 3 Collection Was More Than Just A Fashion Show, It was A Fashion Concert!

Today was one of Kanye’s biggest days ever, as he debuted his Yeezy Season 3 Collection live at Madison Square Garden along with his newest album “The Life Of Pablo!”

After Kanye kept everyone on their toes about what’s to come next before his live fashion extravaganza took place, I think it’s safe to say we were all a little worried about what his latest album would consist of after he had everyone playing cat and mouse about his album title! Ye even had a fan who coincidentally guessed the name of his album after tweeting only “T.L.O.P” and I’m sure everyone keeping tabs were going “how sway?” In a huge return, Ye promised the winner tickets to his Yeezy Season 3 show and a pair Yeezy’s and he/she at least got their tickets!

If you all remember last year’s show of Yeezy Season 2 back in September, it was nothing like Yeezy Season 3. Both collections held similar comparisons by keeping the neutral theme alive, and resting bitch face on que, but Ye definitely stepped his game up with this year’s show! Yeezy Season 3 includes more less muted colors like orange, cranberry red, olive green, and more prints like camouflage, sheer-skull caps and even a new collection of clear women’s boots that look a lot similar to Dior’s previous collections.

Most were up in anti about the price-point of the Yeezy collection as Yeezy Season 2 has rugged/destroyed sweaters going for up to $2000, when most feel his entire collection looks like it was inspired by homeless citizens on the streets! Ye has heavily stressed that his pricing will go down for this year’s collection, and even wants his consumers to be able to purchase his items sooner than three months ahead like most fashion labels after their debut.

This time it was way different and more like a concert at the end of the entire Yeezy Season 3 show that live streamed via Tidal. Many artists came out like President of G.O.O.D Music, Pusha T., 2 Chainz, 50 Cent, Frank Ocean, A$AP Rocky, and even Young Thug and Naomi Campbell who were apart of Yeezy Season 3 collection. Many Family members and friends came to support Ye as well like his wife, Kim Kardashian and the rest of the Kardashian Klan who came dressed in all white with a hence of pastel pink blended in! There was also, Caitlyn Jenner, and Lamar Odom who walked side-by-side with him before the show actually began!

As many wanted to attend the show, it was actually quite difficult to get tickets unless you guessed the album name on Twitter or knew a friend of a friend, and if it was any more anticipating to watch through Tidal like it was for me from the ample amounts of malfunctioned streaming that took place than you’re not alone!

From start to finish Kanye debuted his “The Life Of Pablo” album, and it was nothing but “Ultra…light…beams” as he’s mentioned over and over to us all! And it was also a gospel album indeed as it sounded like the intro to his new album featured was Kirk Franklin and his choir singing. His album featured many artists that he’s publicly announced representing his work of art like, The Weekend, Rihanna, Future, Young Thug, Travis Scott, Chance The Rapper and more!

As Ye intervened through out the show, he also unveiled a video game he’s been working on that’s dedicated to his mother who passed away in 2007.

Overall, the show was an epic one to watch, and even though Ye had strict guidelines for his models to abide by as in “NO WHISPER,” “NO SMILE,” “DO NOT ACT COOL,” “HOLD YOUR POSITION,” it seemed as though it was harder than the models thought to do just so through the audiences eyes, as some looked completely bored that they were even invited to be a model for Yeezy! Some were even sitting down since the show took about two hours of everyone’s time, but in retrospect, even though most of the models faces seemed over it all, it was most likely a part of the entire act for the collection piece!

Just thank Italian conceptual artist, Vanessa Beecroft who teamed up with Kanye in this entire masterpiece, as she was one of the main acts who contributed to the stage’s present theme with skin-baring women and men who look mores dead than alive! Kanye is defiantly the man with the plan!
