The WWE world is mourning the sudden death of iconic WWF wrestler Chyna.
Word of Chyna’s death was first reported on Twitter, “It is with deep sadness to inform you today that we lost a true icon, a real life superhero,” the tweet said. “Joanie Laurer aka Chyna, the 9th wonder of the world has passed away. She will live forever in the memories of her millions of fans and all of us that loved her.”
According to E!, police found the 45-year-old wrestler dead in her Redondo Beach home after a friend found her not breathing. Authorities do not believe foul play was involved.
Condolences poured out all over social media as the WWE world pays her homage. WWE chief brand officer and former wrestler Stephanie McMahon tweeted, “I just heard the tragic news that @ChynaJoanLaurer has passed. She was truly a pioneer in our industry, and she will be missed. #RIPChyna.”
She most truly will be. Our condolences to her family and friends.
