Prosecutors Request Samples Of DNA From Nicki Minaj’s Brother After Semen Is Found On His 12-Year-Old Accuser’s Clothing

More details have surfaced in the case of Nicki Minaj’s brother child rape scandal. Apparently, prosecutors are seeking to obtain semen samples from Jelani Maraj as evidence against him.

According to Bossip, court documents show that his 12-year-old accuser had semen in her pants and now the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office wants to administer a DNA test on 37-year-old Maraj to see if it matches. This request can easily make or break the case especially since the  Medical Examiner’s Office who tested the semen found in the victim’s pants ruled that it could only match one man out of 291 billion.

“Thus, a genetic profile developed from a buccal swab specimen from the defendant, Jelani Maraj, will exclude or provide material evidence identifying the defendant, Jelani Maraj, as the source of the semen stain on the victim’s (clothing),” Assistant District Attorney Anthony Perri wrote in court docs last week.

Officials are also hoping that a judge gives them permission to photograph and fingerprint Maraj.

For those who are unfamiliar with the story, Jelani Maraj is facing felony child rape charges, which include predatory sexual assault against a child and first degree sexual conduct against a child after a 12-year-old accused him of repeatedly raping and sodomizing her from April to November 30th, 2015. The last rape allegedly happened just a day before he was arrested.

He has since pled not guilty but if he is convicted he can face life in prison.
