Janet Jackson ‘Felt Like A Prisoner’ In Her Marriage; Husband Reportedly Wanted A Traditional Wife

It’s no secret that Janet Jackson isn’t here for her estranged husband, Qatari business tycoon Wissam Al Mana, and it looks like sis has a good reason for it.

According to US Weekly, a source close to the singer said, “Janet felt like a prisoner.”

The source continued,

“Janet was never very maternal before, but that changed with Wissam. He really wanted a baby and she was ready. She realized she found the right guy.”

Everything seemed picture perfect but Wissam reportedly wanted a “traditional wife who stuck with Muslim traditions.”

His requests caused Janet to start wearing more full-length garments and burkas, according to the source.

“Janet felt like she couldn’t be herself anymore. Janet felt like her music was suffering and she resented Wissam. She couldn’t settle down and be what he wanted.”

Janet stuck out for 5 years but it’s clear sis had enough!
