An 8-Year-Old Steals His Father’s Car To Go Get Some McDonald’s

It’s not every day you hear about a child driving around town to make a McDonald’s run, but recently, that was the case for an 8-year-old boy in Ohio.

According to the Morning Journal, the 8-year-old boy had his four-year-old sister riding shotgun as they went out to get McDonald’s in their father’s car.

East Palestine officer Jacob Koehler said the incident happened on Sunday evening. Koehler said the department received numerous calls about the 8-year-old who displayed impressive driving skills.

Without causing any damage to his father’s car or any other drivers he was able to stop at all red lights and allow other cars to pass before turning into the McDonalds parking lot.

If you’re wondering how he learned to drive, apparently he learned by watching YouTube videos.

Once he arrived at the fast food restaurant, which is located, a mile and a half away from his home, the employees at the drive-thru thought it was a prank and that his parents were in the back seat.

However, his parents were at home asleep, unaware of what was going on. No charges were filed and police said this was not a neglect case as the children had already eaten three times that day.

Reportedly when police arrived the boy started to cry and explained that he wanted a cheeseburger, and he also ordered chicken nuggets and fries for his sister. They were planning to pay for the food with money from their piggy bank.

The children were taken to the police station where they enjoyed their McDonald’s and waited for their parents.
