Birdman Phone Call Leaks In Lil Wayne Tour Bus Shooting: ‘Come Get Your Money’

Last week, news broke that Birdman and Young Thug may be facing charges in connection to the shooting of Lil Wayne’s tour bus back in 2015. This news definitely came as a shock to many because I don’t think anyone knew the tension between Wayne and Birdman was that strong, and also it came out right when Wayne was dropping his fourth studio album.

The district attorney has yet to press charges but this new piece of evidence definitely has a lot of people giving Birdman the side eye… at least for now.

A leaked audio phone call between Birdman and the alleged shooter Jimmy “PeeWee Roscoe” Winfrey was obtained by local Atlanta outlet WSB-TV. “It’s time for you to come out here and get your money, man . . . You done did everything you could do, boss,” Birdman is heard saying on the call. “It’s an eye-opener, bruh. Strictly business, man.”

“Winfrey had a conviction in this case overturned by Georgia Supreme Court in 2017 after it was ruled that improper coercion had occurred in relation to his plea deal. Now, Alvin Lewis—the driver of the Wayne bus in question—is taking legal action against all three men. Lewis alleges that Winfrey, Thugger, and Birdman “conspired in the shooting,” ultimately straddling him with “pain and suffering.”

Now I’m sure y’all are wondering how Young Thug is involved in this. Police have phone records of Young Thug allegedly calling Winfrey several times before the shooting went down.

Police claim that Winfrey pulled up beside Wayne’s tour bus and “then opened fire with a .40 caliber handgun and a 9mm handgun.” He ended up pleading guilty for the crime and was hit with a 10-year-sentence, which was overturned as mentioned earlier.
