CDC Epidemiologist Has Been Missing For Almost Two Weeks After Going Home From Work Sick

#MorehouseCollege and #HarvardUniversity graduate #TimothyCunningham is an epidemiologist and commander under the U.S. Health Service Corps at the CDC. He has traveled all over the world to respond to public health crises such as Hurricane Sandy, the #Ebola virus and the #Zika virus.

Since diseases are not foreign to Cunningham, it very suspicious and equally devastating that he’s been missing ever since he left work after feeling sick almost two weeks ago. @WSBTV reports that 35-year-old Cunningham actually made it to work, but told fellow employees that he wasn’t feeling well and that he’d finish working at home. This was on Monday February 12th and no one has heard from him since.

His parents have come down from Maryland to assist with a search and say that his keys, phone and wallet were left behind as well as his dog which is unusual. “This is not normal. This is definitely out of the ordinary,” his father Terrell Cunningham said.

Cunningham hasn’t contacted close friends and family since the 12th and they’re a pleading with the public to help find who the CDC calls a “highly respected member of the CDC family.”

“This is an appeal to the public. Anyone has seen Tim or may know anything about his whereabout, we’re seeking your help in bringing Tim back safe to us,” Terrell Cunningham said.

Via WSBTV:

“Timothy Cunningham is 6 feet tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911.”
