Charlamagne Says Drake Should Pipe It Down: “You’re Never Going To Be Jay-Z”

Charlamagne took one of his quarterly visits to #VladTv to discuss hip hop and what not. This time, he accused rapper #Drake of violating Rule #47 of the 48 Laws of Power which is “Do not go past the mark you’ve aimed for; In victory, learn to stop.” You see, the tv/radio personality believes that the Toronto rapper is feeling himself too much lately and warns that he should watch his back.
He began by dissecting “Summer Sixteen” and explained how his lines about Jay-Z and Kanye could be a jab, however Drizzy is unworthy to do so. “Relax, you’ve never made a College Dropout, you’ve never made a Late Registration, you’ve never even got a Kardashian pregnant!” DJ Vlad went on to confess that Drake lives near him and admitted how those lyrics could totally be misconstrued. Charlamagne responded by saying, “People can switch up on you just that fast! That’s the era we live in.”
In particular, both Vlad and Charlamagne agreed that Drake’s lyric “How y’all let me run it down here? / I’m not even from around here” could rub some locals the wrong way. People could decide to hit him where it hurts– dem pockets! “All these people rooting for Drake could just say, ‘F*ck it'” and stop buying his music.
