#Roommates, remember a couple of weeks ago news broke about a 19-year-old boy who shot and killed his parents at Centeral Michigan University? Well, his attorney says his client has been found incompetent to stand trial.
According to NY Daily News, court-appointed attorney Joshua Blanchard said James Davis Jr was found incompetent to stand trial on March 23. He spoke with MLive.com and told the outlet that his client will receive treatment in an attempt to have him retain competency.
Police say James shot both his parents in his dorm on March 2. He was arrested after a 16-hour search in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. He’s been hit with two counts of open murder and a firearm violation.
The night before the tragic shooting, James told police that someone was out to kill. Police noted that his behavior was off but suspected it was drug-induced.
