Last month it was reported that Derrick Rose was going to take some time away from the Cleveland Cavaliers as he was reportedly “reevaluating his future in the NBA.”
Aside from that Rose was also recovering from a sprained left ankle.
According to Bleacher Report, Rose reportedly wants back on the team. The site reports that Jason Lloyd of The Athletic has reported, “Rose has been in contact with Cavs general manager Koby Altman in recent days and has expressed a desire to return. The Cavs are expected to have an announcement regarding Rose on Sunday.”
Rose signed a one-year contract with the Cavs back in July and has appeared in seven games with the Cavs this season.
When news broke that Rose wanted to take reevaluate his time in the NBA, as a source also added, “He’s tired of being hurt, and it’s taking a toll on him mentally.”
Rose suffered an ankle injury on October 20th and later returned to the team for four games. The team later announced underwent treatment on November 17th.
