DJ Envy Explains His Support On Stop And Frisk, Following An Attempted Car Jacking

Yesterday DJ Envy started to trend on social media after he mentioned that he was in support of the stop and frisk policy out in New York City.

Many people were looking for his Breakfast Club co-host Charlamagne Tha God to give him Donkey of the Day. However, Charlamagne knew more details than we all did, which is why he thought it would be difficult to give Envy that title.

Envy revealed on air an attempted car jacking that happened last week, which strengthened his support for the policy.

He said last week while on his way to work a car with a police light pulled up behind him. However, he grew suspicious because of the police light being all blue, when he knows that in the New York/ New Jersey area the police lights are both red and blue.

Therefore he decided not to stop, and moments later the car decides to hit the back of his. It eventually leads to a masked gunman jumping out and shooting at his car. Thankfully he was able to get out of the situation safely.

Nonetheless, the amount of guns that are available on the street is what makes him a believer in the stop and frisk policy. He also mentioned that had someone seen the incident, they would of probably obliged by the “no snitching” rule.

Now he has not always been in support of the policy, however the unnecessary violence on the streets have played a factor in his support. He’s mentioned that he’s been stopped and frisked in the past. However, in the end he would choose that over being shot at, and possibly losing his life.

He even took to his Instagram to share a photo of his vehicle with the bullet holes following the attempted car jacking.
