On Saturday, Drake sat courtside at the Toronto Raptor’s playoff game against the Washington Wizards.
While Drizzy cheered on his hometown team, he also received tons of love for honoring the Humboldt Broncos Hockey team as he wore the team’s white, green and gold jersey.
According to USA Today, the Canadian junior hockey team made headlines last week following a fatal bus crash that claimed the lives of 16 people.
Following the Raptors 114-106 wins against the Wizards, Drizzy met with the team in the locker room and asked if they could sign his jersey in honor of those who lost their lives.
After last week’s crash, the Raptor’s organization released a statement and said, “Thinking of the Humboldt Broncos and our friends in the hockey community at this terrible time. From Toronto to the Prairies, our thoughts and prayers are with you.”
As of Saturday, a GoFundMe started in the team’s honor has raised a total of $11 million.
