There’s no doubt that Kanye West’s latest album is highly anticipated.. even with all the name changes. Nonetheless, the wait is almost over as it finally releases tomorrow!
Well Hot 97’s Ebro Darden revealed on air today that he attended Kanye’s listening party in NYC last night, and this new project is something to be excited about. Although he couldn’t spill too much about the project, he did reveal that the album is definitely something that is rap heavy.
He also hinted that Kanye threw some shade at Kim Kardashian’s ex Ray J saying, “There was some punchlines… Kanye says to Ray J, bro. He says, ‘Me and Ray J would probably be friends if we wasn’t in love with the same…’ he says ‘bitch,’ actually. And then goes on to say, ‘you might have hit it first, but I’m riiiich, though!’ And the way it’s done, it’s hilarious. It’s not serious. It’s funny.”
But on a lighter note, his co-host Rosenberg asked him to compare it to either “My Dark Twisted Fantasy” or “Yeezus” and Darden responded, “I think it gives you a little of all of that. It gives you a little of everything you love about Kanye West. It’s more melodic than ‘Yeezus’… You’re gonna get those soul vocals, there’s some choir singing… There’s some Chicago representatives on the album.”
Also amongst his conversation with Ye’, he said, “I want to talk about how amazing the music, the drums, the basslines and the song structure is.” Ebro co-signed that the music is definitely crazy, and if anyone knows Ebro, he definitely tells it like it is.
