Erin Jackson Becomes First Black Woman To Qualify For Olympics Speedskating After Just Four Months On The Ice

#Roommates, y’all know we love us some #BlackGirlMagic! Erin Jackson is out here doing the damn thang! She became the first African-American woman to make the U.S. Olympic long-track speed skating team after placing third in the 500- meter race during Friday’s trials in Milwaukee, according to Yahoo sports.

Erin’s story is so amazing because sis has only been long-track speedskating for four months after switching over from inline skating competitions.

“I really wasn’t expecting any of this, just coming in as a newbie, just trying to do the best I can,” Jackson told reporters. “I still don’t even know.”
