A 26-year old man and a two-year old toddler were pronounced dead following a shooting that also wounded a pregnant woman. The incident took place in the North Lawndale area of Chicago.
According to Fox 32, the violent encounter was captured on Facebook live, and exceeded more than 100,000 views a few hours after the shooting occurred.
The three victims can be seen riding in the car as the woman live streams singing along to the radio, and shortly after multiple gun shots can be heard. The shooting occurred in an alley in the 2300 block of South Kenneth Avenue.
According to Chicago Police, the victims were in the car in the alley around 1:30pm when another car drove past them, and someone got out and started firing several shots at them.
The woman can be seen escaping from the vehicle and running from the scene seeking for help.
The 26-year-old man and the two-year-old toddler suffered head wounds and were pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital. The woman, 25, was shot in her abdomen, and listed in fair condition, along with her unborn child.
The two-year-old was identified as Lavontay White, and the other male victims identity was being withheld pending notification of his family as of Tuesday evening.
Chicago Police Supt. Eddie Johnson said the woman was the boy’s aunt.
