Fetty Wap Being Sued For Allegedly Stealing Beat for ‘Trap Queen’

Fetty Wap and ‘Trap Queen’ producer Tony Fadd are being sued for allegedly sampling another song without permission. Danish songwriter Lazar Lakic claims that back in 2014, he bought exclusive rights to a song called “Hello” which was actually produced by Fadd. The producer would go on to use that same beat for ‘Trap Queen’.

According to TMZ, Lakic alleges that once “Trap Queen” gained huge success, Fadd contacted him and tried buying the rights back, but he said nope! If you didn’t know, the song went 4x platinum, but Lakic says he didn’t receive not nan coin! Fetty’s attorney, Navarro Gray, however, doesn’t necessarily feel that Lakic is owed any money. He told TMZ that his client has the paperwork to prove that he legally bought the Trap Queen beat from Fadd.

On top of seeking his percentage of the monster hit, Lakic wants all sales of Trap Queen to stop and wants all existing copies destroyed. We’re sure Fetty is laughing to the bank with that one!
