Here’s How New York City Is Celebrating Labor Day

Today is officially Labor Day and many cities throughout the country celebrate the holiday in many different ways.

For New York City the biggest celebration is the West Indian Day Parade, which first took place in Brooklyn back in 1964.

People from different Caribbean backgrounds gather on Eastern Parkway and celebrate their culture through costumes, dancing, and food.
