Houston Man Builds 20,000 Sq Ft Mansion For His Entire Family & Friends

A retired Houston man built a 20,000 sq. ft. mansion for his entire family, including his three sisters, as well as their families, and his friends to all live in together.

The home has a chapel, hair salon, private living quarters for everyone, and a pool for his grandkids. They each have their own living room, kitchen, washer/dryer, and a master bedroom and guest room with separate bathrooms.

Reggie Van Lee told Fox 26 Houston that he was inspired to build a family estate when Caroline Kennedy personally invited him to the Kennedy compound. He said he built the house so their family could make many memories together.

“As much as people say, ‘Oh that’s so nice of you to do for your sisters.’ They have no idea the joy I get,” said Van Lee.

Van Lee, 59, is a Harvard grad who recently retired as the executive VP of a Houston consulting firm. In the past, he worked with the Clinton Foundation and the Obamas. He was also a performer in the Alvin Ailey dance company.
