We all know Janice Dickinson for being noted as the world’s first supermodel, as well as reality star. She has appeared on shows such as, “The Surreal Life,” “America’s Next Top Model” and “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.”
Late last year she made headlines as one of the many women who accused Bill Cosby of drugging and raping her back in the early 80’s. However, earlier today she made headlines as she revealed to Daily Mail her breast cancer diagnosis.
In an exclusive sit-down interview, she revealed her diagnosis by saying, “Just two weeks ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer, it’s hard for me to say this, but I have been diagnosed with breast cancer.” She continued, “It’s still quite shocking. Today I got very scared… I just get very scared and it hit me. But I am not gonna let that define me, the fear. I’m going to get through this, I’ll be just fine kiddo.”
During an annual doctor’s visit a pea-sized lump was found in her right breast, and after testing Dickinson was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), which is not life threatening. However, it can develop and increase the chances of a more sever form of breast cancer.
According to Daily Mail, Dickinson will appear on the syndicated daytime series “The Doctors,” which will follow her every step of the way through her procedures and treatments. Her first appearance on the show will air on April 6th.
In the past the former supermodel has battled, anorexia, bulimia and alcoholism.
