Johnny Depp Ends Up On Secret Service Radar After Presidential Assassination Remark

Johnny Depp finds himself on the Secret Service’s radar for a remark he made Thursday at the Glastonbury Festival in the UK.

He starts by asking if he can bring Donnie to the UK. The crowd yells “no” in response.

“I think he needs help,” he said. “This is going to be in the press, and it will be horrible…When was the last time an actor assassinated a President?” Continuing the drag session, Johnny says, “I want to clarify. I’m not an actor. I lie for a living.”

It’s safe to say he’s referencing John Wilkes Booth, the actor who killed Abraham Lincoln back in 1865.

We hear that the Secret Service was made aware of the remark, however, according to Shawn Holtzclaw, Secret Service staff assistant, “For security reasons, we cannot discuss specifically nor in general terms the means and methods of how we perform our protective responsibilities.”
