Jordan Peele has been in high demand following the success of his film “Get Out.” He recently signed a first look deal with Universal Pictures, where he will develop his next film.
Aside from that he has many other projects lined up, including a new series with HBO.
According to Variety, Peele will serve as the executive producer for the new series “Lovecraft Country,” which has already been ordered straight to series over HBO.
Misha Green, the co-creator and show runner of the hit scripted series “Underground,” on WGN America, will also serve as an executive producer for the series, and she will also serve as a writer.
The new HBO series is based on the book, “Lovecraft Country,” by Matt Ruff. According to the synopsis, “the anthology horror series follows 25-year-old Atticus Black, who joins up with his friend Letitia and his Uncle George to embark on a road trip across 1950s Jim Crow America to find his missing father. They must survive and overcome both the racist terrors of white America and the malevolent spirits that could be ripped from a Lovecraft paperback.”
