Lil Mama Opens Up About Rumored Beef With Nicki Minaj

Rumors have been circulating for months now that Lil Mama isn’t to fond of Nicki Minaj. A couple weeks ago she posted a photo of Lil Kim wearing a pink wig, with the caption, “Like @lilkimthequeenbee ain’t make b*****s wanna rock pink hair at some point like… @misahylton what’s that shit you say #respectthearchitect B***H!” Now everyone knew that was direct shot at Nicki because in her Pinkprint Freestyle she raps, “Like I ain’t make these b*****s rock pink hair at some point.” Well #Roommates Lil Mama is finally addressed her why she’s always coming for Nicki during an interview with Mara The Hip-Hop Socialite

According to the The Jasmine Brand,Jshe said,

“To be honest with you, I’m only responding to things that are being said, and I feel like most people they go with who they feel isn’t supreme at the time and say, ‘oh no, she’s doing this, she’s doing that.’ It’s almost like being in class, and somebody keep kicking your chair, and then you turn around and smack the sh*t out of them, and they’re like, ‘whoa, she’s crazy. Why did she get up and do that?’ And you’re trying to explain to the deans and to your teacher like ‘hey, this person is starting with me. They keep pushing me.’ And they’re like, ‘well, I haven’t seen a push yet.’ You know what I mean? I think that’s a perfect parable for the situation, and what it has come to now is that it’s a bigger fight. It’s easy for me to get out of my seat, push it back, and smack the *** out of the person that’s kicking the back of my chair, but why do that when at the front of my class there’s a black man being lynched? Or there’s a black man being kicked down by our oppressor?”

“This is my brother, this is my friend, this is someone that I grew up with – this is something that’s going on right in front of me. But because I don’t feel strong enough to attack someone who’s attacking me and attacking my loved ones, I’d rather react to someone that’s picking a fight about maybe whose sneakers are fresher, or who has the latest pair of sneakers.”

“That’s petty, and I feel like these women, Nicki Minaj, Lil’ Kim, who else – many of them – they are all six to ten to twenty years my senior. I have so much time and space to grow, that even if someone else is ignorant, let them be because once you pass 28, 30, you begin to get set in your ways. I can’t teach older women how to be women – I can only teach the younger generation how to be women.”

“And I feel like if that’s a responsibility I want to take on, I need to focus on making music that reflects that; I need to focus on actions that reflect that because when you get out there in the yard and you just want to fight for something physically, you don’t look any better than the person who’s already been doing that and not making a great example for other people or putting another woman down.”
