Man Quits His Job To Play Pokémon Go Full-Time

It looks like the “Pokémon Go” saga continues, and this time the game is interfering with someone’s daytime job.

According to The Guardian, Tom Currie from New Zealand has decided to quit his job as a barista at a restaurant to play “Pokémon Go” full-time.

Apparently, the 24-year-old is out to catch all 151 Pokémon throughout the woodland in New Zealand. He said, “I have been working for six years and I was desperate for a break. And Pokémon gave me the chance to live that dream.”

If you’re wondering how he will finance his journey without having a job, he’s already has that figured out. He’s been sleeping on his friends couches and staying at hostels. Since he’s gained popularity, transportation companies have offered him free rides to help assist with his mission.

Having already capture 90 of 151 Pokémon, Currie says he plans to work on his new business once the journey comes to an end.

Seems like Pokémon Go continues to get more serious as the days go by.
