During Tuesday night’s game vs. the #WashingtonWizards, #GoldenStateWarriors forward, #KevinDurant hyperextended his knee. MRIs later confirmed that he had a sprained MCL and a bone bruise on his left leg. He is going to miss at least four weeks of practice and games, so the Warriors have enlisted the help of #MattBarnes!
According to #ESPN, Barnes signed a rest-of-the-season contract and is thrilled to be back at Golden State. “It’s a dream come true!” he told Marc J. Spears of #TheUndefeated. “I feel like I helped start something in ’07, and now I’m coming back to help finish it.” Barnes was on the Golden State roster from 2006-2008.
Upon learning of the trade on Tuesday, Barnes said that this was the best day of his life.

“Sources said Golden State, to make roster room for Barnes, will be forced to abandon its plans to sign Jose Calderon on Thursday after Calderon clears waivers.”
