Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino Expected To Plead Guilty In Tax Evasion Case, Faces 15 Years In Prison

Do you guys remember Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino from #JerseyShore? Welp, according to documents obtained by @Blast, the reality star is in very hot water after getting caught up in a tax evasion scandal and could be facing a 15 year prison sentence! Back in 2014, Mike and his brother Marc Sorentino, who also acted as his manager, were charged with conspiracy to commit fraud.

When charges were first brought against these men, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman told reporters, “According to the indictment, Michael and Marc Sorrentino filed false tax returns that incorrectly reported millions made from promotions and appearances” and that they “allegedly also claimed costly clothes and cars as business expenses and funneled company money into personal accounts.”

…but there’s more! According to @ABCNews, “Additional charges were filed last year when federal prosecutors announced a superseding indictment that accused Mike Sorrentino of tax evasion and structuring funds to evade currency transaction reports. Marc Sorrentino was charged with falsifying records.”

The plea hearing for these two is scheduled for tomorrow in Jersey and Mike is expected to plead guilty to at least one of the charges.

Mike will also not be appearing in the upcoming Jersey Shore reboot. Yikes!!
