Nick Cannon has landed himself a new gig as the host of “Lip Sync Battle Shorties,” which is, of course, a spin-off of the hit show “Lip Sync Battle” on Spike.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, YouTube star JoJo Siwa will serve as Cannon’s sidekick and will help provide commentary for all of the performances.
Each episode will feature different kids who will customize their own performances as they plan out their costumes, staging, choreography and choose their favorite songs. The episodes will also feature a special celebrity appearance and a final performance from the Shorties Dance Crew.
Nick Cannon talked about his latest hosting gig and said, “I’m excited to host the first season of Lip Sync Battle Shorties. It’s always a pleasure to work with my family at Nickelodeon. It’s going to be a lot of fun watching the kids lip-sync their favorite songs and perform like their favorites artists.”
The spinoff originally aired in 2016 and has gained more than 20 million views on Nickelodeon’s YouTube Channel.
The show will return with a Halloween and holiday special before it’s official 10-episode series premiere in 2018.
