Quavo Says He’d Love To Remake The National Anthem As Long As It Is Inclusive Of All Races

Our “Star-Spangled Banner” #nationalanthem was originally written by #FrancisScottKey in 1814 back when equality of the sexes and races were not only non-existent but illegal. Fast-forward to 2017, a lot of people are protesting the national anthem for these reasons, however the Internet took over and selected for #Migos rapper #Quavo to remake it instead!

Last week, #ReggieCouz created a video of what this would sound like and a petition was started shortly after. As of today it’s already thousands of signatures deep. #TMZ caught up with Quavo and asked what his thoughts were about recreating the national anthem and whether or not he would actually do it.

“There’s a lot going behind the National Anthem,” Quavo said. “I would love to do it, but I wanna do a 2017 National anthem for both people and all races.” Quavo said that the content of the updated version would have to be about, “Something that’s representing now. Something that representing the modern day national anthem.”

The rapper also pretty much said it’s a no-brained if he “got with some good musicians and jus write something very strong and powerful.”

Roommates what would be some lyrics Quavo should include in the new National Anthem?
