Queen Latifah To Be Honored With The “Entertainment Icon Award” At The American Black Film Festival Honors

 

Queen Latifah has an amazing career that expands over more than 20 years.

Whether it was starring on one of our favorite television shows, being the lead in one of our favorite movies, or creating the soundtrack to represent her community, she has done it all.

According to CBS News, Latifah will be honored on Friday at the American Black Film Festival Honors with the “Entertainment Icon Award.”

She said, “It means so much to me coming from fellow entertainers and my peers.”

Queen Latifah has been nominated for a number of awards throughout her career. Including her 2003 Oscar nomination for her role in Chicago, along with her two Emmy nominations.

The American Black Film Festival airs on BET and Centric February 22nd. Other honorees include Regina Hall and Terrence Howard.
