Rock & Roll legend Chuck Berry has unfortunately passed away at age of 90, according to police.
According to ABC News, police in St. Charles Missouri responded to a medical emergency at approximately 12:40 pm on Saturday.
Once they arrived at the home, first responders found a male unresponsive, and unfortunately, he could not be revived despite their efforts to do so by using “administering lifesaving techniques.”
The male was pronounced dead at 1:26 pm; he was later identified as, Charles Edward Anderson Berry Sr., who is better known by his stage name Chuck Berry.
On his 90th birthday, the legendary musician announced that he would be releasing a new album in 2017 entitled “Chuck,” his first project in 38 years.
Chuck Berry’s legendary career began back in 1950’s and he would go on to inspire other legendary artists such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and The Beach Boys.
In 2008 rapper Mos Def portrayed Chuck Berry in the film “Cadillac Records,” and showed his significance to music to a whole new generation.
