Sorry But Not Sorry! Lil Duval Not Backing Down On His Transgender Comments

#Roommates, Lil Duval ain’t backing down from his comments he made about transgender people. In an interview on Friday’s “The Breakfast Club,” Duval told listeners he would “kill” a woman if he found out she was transgender after having sex with her. He then went on to say “I don’t care, she dying.” He also told the hosts that he felt there should be some type of punishment for that type of “manipulation.”

After Duval’s comments surfaced the internet, social media went into a frenzy, many demanding for Duval to give an apology. But from the looks of things, the comedian has no plans on saying “I’m sorry.” He tweeted the below image with a blank, no comment facial expression.

If your favorite comedian not pissing someone off, they not a great comedian ?‍♂️

In response, actress Laverne Cox sent an educational message to Duval saying jokes about violence towards the transgender community is nothing to play around with. “Some folks think it’s ok to joke about wanting to kill us,” Cox tweeted. “We have free speech but that speech has consequences and trans folks are experiencing the negative consequences with our lives. It hurts my spirit cause this isn’t funny. Our lives matter. Trans murder isn’t a joke.”
