Taxstone Pleads Guilty To Federal Gun Charges In Fatal Irving Plaza Shootout

Hip-Hop podcaster Taxstone is facing 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to two federal weapons charges in relation to the fatal May 2016 Irving Plaza shootout.

The incident claimed the life of Troy Ave’s friend and bodyguard Ronald McPhatter.

Three people were also injured at the T.I. concert, including Troy Ave with whom Taxstone reportedly had a very public beef.

According to the NY Daily News, Taxstone, whose real name is Daryl Campbell, pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm and receiving a firearm in interstate commerce.

Prosecutors told the judge that Campbell brought a firearm to the venue and fired multiple shots, including the one that killed McPhatter. They claimed that police found his DNA on the murder weapon.

Campbell was arrested in January of this year and is currently being held without bail.
