Taylor Swift Sued For “Shake It Off” Lyrics

Uh Oh! It’s looking like Taylor Swift has some some bad blood as she is being sued for stealing the lyrics to her hit single “Shake It Off”! Apparently a well know phrase that has been used numerous amount of times, by multiple people is the cause for all of this.

According to R&B singer Jesse Graham, Taylor Swift ripped him off for his song lyrics from his single “Haters Gone Hate” and now he is looking to get $42 million payday from the pop princess.

He told the New York Daily News, “no way” Swift could have imagined the phrases “haters gonna hate,” “players gonna play,” or “fakers gonna fake” on her own. “Her hook is the same as mine.” He continued, “If I didn’t write the song ‘Haters Gone Hate,’ there wouldn’t be a song called ‘Shake It Off.’”

Now we are pretty sure we all remember 3LW’s single “Players Gon’ Play” from back in 2000, so it’s pretty interesting to see how this will all play out in court. Nonetheless, it’s looking like Taylor won’t have too much to worry about.
