The Biological Mother Of Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt’s Daughter Zahara Wants To Reconnect 12 Years After Her Adoption

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt adopted their first daughter Zahara Jolie-Pitt from Ethiopia back in July of 2005 when she was only six months old. The superstar couple was told that she was orphaned and that both of her parents passed due to Aids.

Now nearly 12 years following her adoption, Mentewab Dawit Lebiso, the biological mother to Zahara is at least looking to speak with the 12-year old.

According to Daily Mail, Lebiso reportedly revealed that she was raped and forced to give up her daughter after she was attacked and then had gotten sick.

She said, “I just want her to know that I am alive and here and long to be able to speak with her. She continued, “I do not want my daughter back but just to be in contact with her and be able to call her up and talk with her.”

She also credits Angelia Jolie for being an amazing mother to her daughter, she said, “Angelina has been more of a mother to her than I have ever been. She has been with her since she was a baby, but that does not mean I do not miss her.”

Daily Mail tracked her down in central Ethiopia, where Lebiso reiterated that she doesn’t want anything more than to just speak with her daughter. She ended off by saying, “We all die sometime and before I die I would like her to know about me and that she has family here in Ethiopia. I would ask Angelina to let me speak with her. I do not think it is too much to ask.”

We all know by now that Angelia Jolie and Brad Pitt have been going through a divorce, which also entails a custody battle for their six children.
