The Obama’s Send A Letter To A Couple Congratulating Them On Their Marriage

A Texas woman recently had the shock of her life when she received a letter from Barack and Michelle Obama congratulating her on her recent nuptials.

According to The Washington Post, Brooke Allen recently learned that her mother Liz Whitlow, sent Barack and Michelle Obama an invite to her wedding back in December.

When Allen tied the knot back in March she had no idea her mother added the Obama’s to the guest list. However, that all changed when Allen received a letter from the former first couple congratulating her on this new chapter in her life.

All invitations that are sent to sitting presidents are handled by the White House Greetings Office. However, the Obama’s have continued the gesture post-White House.

Allen shared the letter on Twitter, which read, “We hope that your marriage is blessed with love, laughter, and happiness and that your bond grows stronger with each passing year.”

It continued, “This occasion marks the beginning of a lifelong partnership and as you embark on this journey, know you have our very best for the many joys and adventures that lie ahead.”

Allen also shared a text message conversation between her and her mother where Whitlow shared her excitement and said, “I didn’t send one to trump.”
