It has been a minute since we have heard Trick Daddy and Trina on a record together. The two teamed up during the late 90’s for their hit single “Nann,” and they would go on to have other hit singles like, “Shut Up,” and “Take It To Da House.”
Now the Slip-N-Slide duo will reunite for a new project.
In a recent interview with Mass Appeal Trick Daddy revealed that he and Trina are ready to release some new music together.
He said, “Yesterday me and Trina signed a deal for a Trick & Trina collabo album. So we bringing the city back. I just want this Trick & Trina record to be classic. I’m going to turn the Diamond Princess back to the Baddest B*tch.”
Their new project is expected to drop via Slip-N-Slide/ Atlantic Records.
Following their success together, the two went on to release multiple albums, which has grown their individual catalogs throughout the years.
Trick Daddy also talked about taking music back to the days when each city had an identified sound.
He continued, “ATL doesn’t have a sound no more. Miami doesn’t have a sound no more. New York doesn’t have a sound any more. With the exception of Remy Ma & Fat Joe, I don’t remember the last time I heard a real New York record. With the exception of the Migos, I don’t remember the last time I heard an Atlanta record. Miami has a couple artists doing things like, Pitbull and Flo-Rida, but we need to take it back to those days, because if it wasn’t for DJ Khaled, I don’t know if our name and face would even still be mentioned or placed in a hall of fame.”
There is no official release date, but according to Trick Daddy he is hoping for it to drop before the end of the year.
Roommates, are you excited for Trick Daddy & Trina to team up again?
