#TSRBlackExcellence: Let’s Get Into One Of The First Black-Owned Vegan Hair Color Companies!

Roommates, y’all have been asking for the 411 on black-owned businesses and just so y’all know, we’ve been trying to deliver! Just last week we told you about the 27-year-old sista who secured a $1M investment from the founder of Shea Moisture. Now, we want to get into one of the first black-owned vegan hair color companies!

Lately #Vegan has been the wave, so Calore Color, the Atlanta-based company is right on time — AND it’s founded by three African-Americans all under 30!  Can you say: Black Excellence?!

The entire collection is 100% Vegan and cruelty-free, and they have more than 10 semi-permanent colors to choose from.
What stood out to us most was each color’s vibrancy and color-consistency. We have also learned that this product is safe to use if you’re pregnant!

“We do not use any harsh ingredients that could potentially cause any harm to you or your baby,” their website reads. “With that being said, we advise that you do not bleach or use any harsh chemical products your hair through the duration of your pregnancy.”

“I’ve worked hard for a year with my two business partners and our chemist to find the perfect formula! I was able to test the color on my celeb clients,” one of the founders, Ty told us: “and now can’t wait to see it out in the world!” Celebrities like Tiny, Shauna Brooks, Kway, and the Clermont Twins have already been spotted with drip by Calore! But just because celebrities are flaunting the brand’s dye in their photos doesn’t mean its not affordable to us everyday folk!
