#TSRPolitics: Senate Republicans Won’t Vote To Replace Obamacare–Has Already Started Drafting Alternate Legislation

Thursday The House voted to repeal and replace Obamacare with the American Healthcare Act–a republican driven plan.

Like we told you yesterday, the next step after it passes The House is to make it through senate. The Senate republicans aren’t here for it though and have announced that they will not vote in favor of the AHA–instead they are already working to createtheir own legislation. That proposal is already in the works by a 12-member working group.

There’s no saying whether or not The Senate’s legislation will be any better but from the sounds of their plans, we wouldn’t be surprised if it was just as shady. we do know they are working to “incorporate elements of the House bill but will not take up the House bill as a starting point and change it through the amendment process.”

“The status quo of Obamacare is unacceptabe,” David Popp said. “It has failed the American people and must be repealed and replaced. As the Senate continues its work on fixing the broken promises of Obamacare, Senators from throughout the Conference have been working on solutions. Those meetings and efforts continue, including chairmen of the relevant committees and leadership. They will continue to have regular updates with the entire conference so the Senate can continue to move expeditiously on the work ahead as it considers the House-passed legislation.”
Where do we go from here!?
