Chance The Rapper really did not come to play! The rapper has been extremely instrumental in the preservation and advancement of Chicago–especially when it comes to academics!
His latest superhero move involves a collaboration with the Children First Fund. He paid a visit to Robeson High School–in Chicago of course–where he made his announcement about the New Chance Arts & Literature Fund!

“We all know that Illinois’ education system is one of the most underfunded in the nation. I’m excited to announce the creation, in collaboration with the Children First Fund, of the New Chance Arts & Literature Fund,” he said.
In addition, he said that a process of identifying the CPS schools that are in the “greatest need for arts” is underway via the New Chance fund.

“I’m glad that I got this microphone and I’m glad that you guys keep coming out to hear the stories and that you guys keep reporting on what is going on here,” He said.
He lets listeners know that there’s enough space and opportunity for everyone to “get involved.”

“We are committed to giving the kids as much as we can,” he said. Chance also revealed a donation of $1 million from the Chicago Bulls to the CPS foundation.

I am here for all of this greatness; how about y’all?!
