#TSRPositiveImages: Detroit High School Senior Gets Accepted Into 41 Colleges

We love it when our young scholars are doing amazing things when it comes to their education and we love when they’re doing it the legal way.

Michael Love, a senior from Detroit, has many options to choose from when it comes to what college he’ll be attending this upcoming fall.

According to ABC 7, he applied to more than 50 schools, and not only do most of the schools want him to attend, they are also offering scholarships as well. So far, Michael has been offered more than $300,000 in scholarships. One of his acceptance letters even came with a full ride offer.

He said, “I got told a lot when I was younger, I couldn’t do this, I couldn’t do that. So I just wanted to show people I’m better than what they think I am.”

Michael, whose current interest is to be an aerospace engineer, is also a member of the National Honor Society, a player on the basketball team and he also has an after-school job. His high school was even able to waive his application fees for most of his prospective schools.

His mother, Micole Ewing said, “I thought he was crazy when he told me he was applying to so many schools. Every time I open up a letter, “I jumped up and down, we praised God and everything. I’m super proud of him.”

Michael also added that he struggled a little at the beginning of his high school career, which motivated him to get right on track. “I just wanted to improve myself because I didn’t know what I was going to do after high school.”

Michael reportedly said that he wants to make a decision about where he’ll be attending college within the next week or so.
