Facebook is gearing up to release a new update for its Messenger app where users will be able to play a host of old-school games such as Pac-Man, Galaga and Space Invaders to name a few! It’s called Instant Games and is set to go live next Tuesday!
Andrea Vaccari, a Facebook product manager,
explained that it made perfect sense to move forward with this new feature since so many of us already use the Messenger app to interact with friends and family. “The 1 billion people who use Messenger every month connect, banter and share in so many ways,” she said. “They do this by sending Stickers when words aren’t enough, tapping on Instant Video to share smiles with Mom after an awesome day, or making a quick voice call to let friends know they’re running late. Now they can connect and compete over their favorite games.”
You must have an updated iOS or Android operating system in order to take it vantage of this new update. Also, newer games such as Words With Friends: Frenzy, Endless Lake, and The Tribez: Puzzle Rush will be added to the Instant Games library. Happy gaming, Roommates!
