#TSRUpdatez: A $35K Reward Is Being Offered In The Search For The Man Who Fatally Shot 7-Year-Old Jazmine Barnes

#TSRUpdatez: Activist Shaun King has teamed up with Merit Law to offer a $35,000 reward in the search for the white man who shot at a black family in the parking lot of a #Houston Walmart and killed 7-year-old #JazmineBarnes.

We continue to pray for Barnes’ family and her mother, 30-year-old #LaPorshaWashington, who was also injured in the shooting. “He left us a corpse. We no longer have a joyful 7-year-old running around,” an emotional Washington told reporters from her hospital bed, according to @cbsnews.

Authorities identified the shooter as a white bearded man in his 40s who was driving a red pickup truck. Activists, including the #BlackLivesMatter movement in Houston, believe the shooting was not random but racially motivated. “I replayed this moment in my head over a million times to see, did I cut this man off? Did I make a wrong turn in front of him?” Washington said. “I didn’t — he fired at us for no reason.”

Security cameras caught a grainy image of the man’s vehicle before the shooting took place.

Washington was able to drive away. When she pulled over to call police, she realized one daughter was hurt by the shattered window glass and that Jazmine wasn’t breathing.

Now her family vows the killer will not go unpunished.

“Every crack, every rock, every corner that could be flipped, turn and turned around. We’re going to be there,” Washington said.

The sheriff is asking for the public’s help to identify anyone who might fit the description of the shooter who also owns a red pickup.

The police manhunt has been underway for some days now as the shooting took place on Sunday.

Investigators are urging the suspect to turn himself in

“And I urge you, whoever did this, you know who you are, please turn yourself in now because we will be looking for you, we will locate you, we will find you,” said Jesse Razo of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

We hope Jazmine’s killer will be captured and the family will experience justice.
