Tupac Shakur Nominated For The 2017 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame

It’s that time of year again when the nominees for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame are revealed.

Some of the inductee’s for the 2016 class included, N.W.A., Steve Miller, Deep Purple, Cheap Trick and Chicago.

According to XXL, this is the first year Tupac Shakur has been nominated to be a part of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. It’s been 25 years since his first release, which makes him eligible to be nominated for the 2017 class.

The late rapper’s debut album, “2Pacalypse Now” was released back in 1991. He would go on to release other classic albums, such as “Me Against The World” and “All Eyez On Me,” before losing his life in 1996.

Other artists that have found themselves back on the ballot include Janet Jackson and Chaka Khan.

Fans have the option to vote for five artists out of the 19 nominees, and the inductee ceremony will of course take place next year.
