Woman Who Posed With 20,000 Bees For Maternity Shoot Suffers A Stillbirth

Back in August, Emily Mueller went viral after sharing maternity photos with the world. She posed with about 20,000 bees on her belly in the unconventional photoshoot. Emily became a beekeeper after suffering two miscarriages and once told PEOPLE that bees helped her to cope with them as they represent new life.

Her new baby boy, who they’ve named Emersyn Jacob, was tragically stillborn last Saturday just six days before his due date. Emily wrote a heartbreaking post on her Facebook the following Monday.

“Yesterday evening we had to hand over our precious child and say goodbye to his physical body forever,” she wrote. “I can’t and don’t want to explain that feeling to anyone. Turning to your husband and seeing him die inside. Seeing him completely break. Seeing your children feel and suffer your pain in front of your eyes. The pain is unbearable.”

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month, however 1 in 4 women will experience this. Just last Sunday 49ers player Marquise Goodwin and his wife lost their son prematurely.

Hopefully people like Emily and Marquise will use their platforms to bring more awareness!
