The two suspects who were killed by police on Dec. 3 link Syed Farook, 28 and estranged wife Tashfeen Malik, 29 as ISIS affiliates.
After the senseless deaths occurred during a holiday party in San Bernadino, California, investigations were made and according to New York Daily News, these two have planned this attack all along. It starts with wife Malik, who posted an ISIS pledge of alliance letter on Facebook moments before the shooting occurred.
Farook, was a U.S born citizen and worked at the Inland Regional Center as veteran for five years. He came to the holiday party knowing what was about to go down. He left shortly after attending and came back dressed in an armed-like gear ready to fire with his wife Malik by his side.
It is told by family members related to Malik that she began to dress more conservative wearing a burqa instead of more “Westernized” clothing about three years ago. Malik was born and raised in Pakistan.
“I recently heard it from relatives that she has become a religious person and she often tells people to live according to the teachings of Islam,” said Hifza Batool, Malik’s step-aunt and a private school teacher who lives in Karor Lal Esam.
The pledge of alliance letter Malik had posted on Facebook was removed Thursday for violating rules applied by Facebook and by showing acts of terrorism.
The shooting that took place at the holiday party killed 14 health department workers and left 21 other victims injured. The information being proven and other investigations go underway as an Islamist militant attack against the U.S.
“Two followers of Islamic State attacked several days ago a center in San Bernadino in California,” ISIS says in a daily broadcast radio station on Saturday.
The ISIS affiliates had two assault rifles, two semi-automatic handguns which contained 6,100 bullets and 12 pipe bombs either in their home or on them.
Assistant director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Los Angeles office said “Based on the information and the facts as we know them, we are now investigating these horrific acts as an act of terrorism,” Bowdich told reporters. Bowdich also states they may have been planning future attacks if San Bernadino mass shooting went as planned.
The FBI director James Comey concluded that this may inspire other affiliates of ISIS and other terrorist organizations on planning similar attacks as devastating as this one.
