A$AP Rocky Teams Up With GUESS in New “Original” Collection!

Guess has been in existence since the 1980’s, ever since their biggest debut starring the original Guess jeans with the triangular emblem attached. Everyone was dying to rock that look! Now they are coming back with full force in 2016 paying more homage to their 90’s appeal but to do so they called on the help of A$AP Rocky!

Guess introduced the new “Guess Originals” featuring the Pretty Flacko himself! Stay alert on this new trend because you might want to snatch a pair of jeans or two once this collaboration launches in February!

GUESS (A$AP)

The former CEO and now Chief Creative Officer, Paul Marciano came up with this brilliant idea during the Summer of 2015, according to Fashionista. He wanted to bring back the image and simplicity that Guess is formally known for.  The label has been around for nearly 30 years and most fashion diggers thirst for the vintage designs of the Guess label. Acid-wash looks, mom jeans, button downs, overalls, you name it, Guess is bringing it all back!

“I think this is dope because hip-hop hasn’t seen these color ways and patterns since the early ‘90s,” Rocky said.

And get this, now that the New Yorker himself is getting his own vibes going with the collection they’ve even allowed him to design graphic tank tops and long-sleeve tops for men. But there’s a twist, the Guess triangle logo, will be given the A$AP appeal because the “S” at the end of “GUESS” will be transformed to “GUE$$!”

There is a cool 90’s pop-up shop that A$AP gained inspiration from as Guess teamed up with his own artistry team called, AWGE. It is an art collective driven to take you back to when you were a kid and it’s featured in a basement. There’s a Nintendo game system, wooden walls, a CD tower, candy Airheads, Bubble tape, and even a velvet couch giving nothing but old-school energy! This art explosion is located on 168 Bowery in New York and will be available to see until Jan. 17!

The collection will launch fully in select U.S Guess locations and on Guess.com on Monday, Feb. 15. If you are too amped for this collection you can also purchase these items on Jan. 30 at the retail store’s opening ceremonies in New York, Los Angeles and in Tokyo! Chicago will also have the collection, but for men only.
