You know things are getting crazy when someone tries to kill a presidential nominee and doesn’t try to hide it!
19 year-old Michael Sandford was arrested on Saturday after trying to get a hold of a police officers gun at a Trump Rally in Las Vegas, and later told officials that he was trying “to kill Trump.”
Sandton, who is British and currently in the country illegally on an expired visa failed to get a hold of the officers gun when he attempted to distract him by pretending that he wanted an autograph from Donald Trump.
He actually told the police that he drove to Las Vegas from California to kill Trump, and if he didn’t succeed, he would plan to do so at the next Trump Rally in Arizona.
According to documents obtained by CNN, “Sandford claimed he had been planning to kill Trump for about a year but decided to act on this occasion because he finally felt confident about trying it.”
Following this event, Michael Sandford was charged with committing a violent act in a restricted area.
