So You’re Registered To Vote? Now What?! Meagan Good, Russell Simmons And More Encourage Voters of Color in Final PSA!

We are down to the final hours of one of the most historical elections in history –possibly even more historical than the 2008 election when America saw its first Black president. Just know, we’ve read your comments and understand your concerns about the election. We feel you! We are in this together.

We stand with Russell Simmons, Meagan Good, Cedric The Entertainer, DeVon Franklin, Erica Campbell, Logan Browning, and the other voters in the “Let’s Show Up and Vote” PSA!

If you are still deciding who you’re voting for, or if you’re even voting at all, this message is for you.

“This election year is too important of a year to sit out. We have to allow our voice to be heard,” they said. “We’re not telling you who to vote for. Vote for the person who you believe will make educated, sound and just decisions on behalf of our nation. Vote for the person who you believe will protect your civil liberties. Vote with your heart. Vote for a better life for your loved ones. Vote for those who can’t vote. Vote for those who are against police brutality. We need to make sure that the candidate we are voting for will protect and uphold the lives of black men and women across the country. Consider November 8th as a national day of service and activism. As people of color we should hindrances and obstacles when it comes to exercising our right to vote.”

We agree. You should be considering not only yourself when you vote, but those like you. Consider those who have lost their right to vote due to the modernization of the 13th amendment. Keep the futures of your children, and parents in mind. Your decision to vote equally with the candidate you choose to vote for determines the side of history you end up on – just some food for thought with your tea.

“Have the correct form of ID, demand a regular ballot. Do not allow them to give you a provisional ballot. That’s how they get ya!”

Exercising is good but Exercising right is better! The same goes for your right to vote.
