Indiana Pacers forward, Chris Copeland and his wife, were both stabbed outside of a popular NYC club late last night.
According to the NY POST, Around 4 a.m. Copeland and his wife, Katrine Saltare, were arguing inside the famed Manhattan nightclub, 1Oak, when 22-year-old Shezoy Bleary tried to put his two cents into their conversation. Police say Bleary did not know either of the victims and a fight broke out shortly after.
Copeland was stabbed in the stomach and his wife was slashed on the arm, breast, and buttocks. The switchblade used was recovered at the scene and it is reported neither injuries are life threatening.
Allegedly Copeland spoke to media outside saying, “We were attacked out of nowhere by a f*cking black civilian. We have nothing to say. We are scared for our lives.”
Along side of Bleary being arrested, two Atlanta Hawks players, Pero Antic and Thabo Sefolosha, were also arrested at the scene for obstructing a crime scene. There was a third person also stabbed and is expected to recover.
These club patrons are truly getting out of hand! Glad everyone is okay! Let’s chat below!
