Word on the street isNBC and ABC are being shady towards retailer,Lane Bryants ThisBodycampaign as they refuse to show the commercial on their networks for supposedly being too sexy!!!
The new ad that aired on March. 10 on the retailers YouTube channel has caught over 200,000 views as they promote beautiful full-figured women. The ad included plus size models, Ashley Graham, Precious Lee, Tara Lynn, Denise Bidot and Georgia Pratt.
When NBC and ABC got a hold of the commercial, they simply told Lane Bryants spokesperson, “rejected the spot as is. After that remark, NBC went on to state,“As part of the normal advertising standards process, we reviewed a rough cut of the ad and asked for minor edits to comply with broadcast indecency guidelines. The ad was not rejected and we welcome the updated creative.
Some viewers are clapping back because many believe that ABC and NBC just aren’t here for the plus size models showing off their bodies. Unfortunately for them,Lane Bryant isnt planning on editing the commercials, as it embraces distinct images of how women are comfortable in the skin theyre in and are outspoken about their bodies. This body is made for love; This body is made for starting a revolution; This body is made for turning heads, is what is verbally being expressed throughout the commercial.
The retailer company will instead, submit their commercial to other networks and will keep promoting the ThisBody ad through their social media accounts.
