Could Akbar V be putting her bid in to one day play the late great Aretha Franklin?
Apparently Akbar has been told she looks like Aretha so the Atlanta rapper wanted to know if the comparisons between her and the queen of soul are true.
She took to her Instagram page to share a side-by-side comparison of her and Aretha in order to gauge fans opinions.
Do yall see it, Akbar wrote in her caption. And they say she use to curse people out like me.
But Akbar may not have read the room before sharing the pics because fans are still giving her the cold shoulder for the Alexis Skyy drama that happened in May.
In case yall need a reminder, Akbars public approval was at an all-time low after she referred to Alexis Skyys disabled toddler as braindead and retarded. Many fans felt Akbar crossed a line she couldnt come back from and the comments still reflect that.
Aretha had class, half of the things youve done, she wouldnt dare do. No comparison, one Roommate wrote.
Alexa play AINT NO WAY by Aretha Franklin, another wrote.
One Roommate said, She be BEGGING for attention on social media!
It seems fans are still not rocking with Akbar after that one IG live.
Akbar V has since apologized for her words about baby Alaiya.
I want to apologize for my action a couple of weeks ago no matter what I shouldnt have stepped out of character I said things I shouldnt have said so as a business woman as a woman period Im apologizing for anyone that I offended, Akbar wrote in a statement on Instagram.
Only time will tell if the Roomies will let her back in their good graces.
